i own both game dev tycoons,my review consist of RAW game (i dont use mods) game dev tycoon - i spent 35 hours with this one, i played it before MGT, it gives you more personal feeling, since the crew making the game is max 7 people. mad games tycoon - i spent 57 hours and this game is (game dev on steroids)

Adding features will increase the amount of "work" involved. For example if you add a large feature to the Engine but put the Engine slider to the bottom then you might see that the Engine features has something like "89%" if you see this then you are hurting you game so maybe remove a feature or increase the Engine slider.

Personally I found Pirate mode to be a bit too easy. Just played the game as I normally would, but only ever upgraded my engine when a new copy protection became available. If anything, I just spent longer on the beginning 2 phases of the game. Left the garage with about 4M, left the middle phase at about 25M.
