Hi guys, my first fuel filter change on focus 1.6tdci. Taken old filter out no problems and put in new one. Reconnected everything except the outlet pipe. Put the vacum pump from the outlet pipe and pumped until diesel came through bubble free. Reconnected outlet pipe. Went to start car and it started.
18 posts · Joined 2015. #27 · Feb 1, 2022. Mine is a 2012 C Max 2.0 Diesel powershift, I bought it 7 yrs ago with 21K miles,and it currently has 76K miles on clock. I have had the auto transmission fluid and filter changed twice, the last time at 71K. The gearbox has always worked smoothly with no problems.

Posted May 17, 2016. hi max I change my oil and filter every 6 months, it won`t do it any harm and it only costs around £30 to do it yourself. I do use engine flush in mine once a year STP ENGINE FLUSH around £2.50 a bottle.

It is often recommended that you replace the 2 parts of the clutch, the DMF (dual mass flywheel) and the CSC (concentric stave cylinder) all at once,/ at the same time, if you are replacing the clutch. Also - find out if there is a reason the clutch has failed, like she "slips" the clutch a lot, especially on hills
Can anyone tell me where the oil filter is on the 2.0 TDCi engine? It's time for an oil change and since I'm out of warranty, I'll be doing minor services myself as I can't bear to pay Ford £125 for £40 worth of parts and labour (and I don't trust local garages to put in the correct spec oil).

To change gearbox oil: remove the air filter box to get at the filler plug on top of the gearbox near the selector cables. Remove the splash cover under the engine to see two more plugs on the right hand side near the front axle.
