I am having to lock the door manually as the remote key doesnt seem to be working. I am assuming the key is faulty or the battery is flat. The only way round this at the moment is to open the door, turn off the ignition, jump out of the car, lock the door manually then run away quickly. To undo it you push on a clip at the top if memory serves and push the unit up some to release it from the car. Then undo each plug and plug it into the new unit (should you not want to loose track of which plug goes where by unplugging em all.) then put your unit back onto the car in reverse order. Check ur owners manual or the wiki on here on

Hi all, I have had 3 mk3 Mondeo's all estates, I like them as I am a taxi driver. 1st a 1.8 petrol replaced usual stuff, tyres/brakes and clutch. 2nd 2.0 TDCI bag of :BEEP: almost everything went wrong with it. 3rd a 2.0 petrol again usual stuff, tyres/brakes and clutch and for some reason 3 fuel pumps in 4 years.
Excellent everything worked global opening/ closing and central locking all worked in sync. Now upon trying to reset the one touch windows for the back they refuse to relearn the one touch reset I've tried every method listed in the manual on the ford wiki but nothing at all. Should I have changed the rear modules along with the fronts!
