So they do share a lot; like, they have two Hidden Blades – except Kassandra, she actually only has one, and this is the first time players will get to play with Kassandra and her Hidden Blade. But they have some different weapons; Ezio has a one-handed crossbow, Connor has a bow, and Kassandra has a special bow, which I won't spoil.
The hidden blades from Assassin's Creed have always had flaws when recreated in real life. This is my attempt to fix this iconic element of Assassin's Creed, 3D Scan of an Assassin’s Creed toy with the EORA 3D Scanner. High-res scan with approx. 1.7 million points. Vertex size exaggerated for clarity. Scanned on iPhone 6S Plus with Turntable - Ezio's Hidden Blade - 3D model by eora 3D (@eora3d)I liked using the short-swords/daggers 'cause of the counter kills. Some tend to be pretty cool, and my favourite counter kill is with the dagger. He stabs at the guy's leg/kneecap, and when he falls down to his knees, Altair/Ezio spins while flicking the dagger to a forehand position, and slices the guy's neck, only to then flick the dagger
You don't need two blades to allow double assassinations though, Arno Dorian does it in Unity. Imo it could just be a cultural thing/character specific thing, Arno being an exiled Assassin can do it because he doesn't give a fuck for rules, Altair can do it because he feels like he's 'earned' it and Ezio can do it because Da Vinci made a second hidden blade, so he uses it as such. If you watched AC Lineage (I suggest you go watch it on YouTube. It's free and takes place before AC2), you'll know that the hidden blade broke. Leonardo used it to fix it. He said the Codex had modified the blade design because he must've found out while reading the Codex that you used to sacrifice a finger for it to work.Ezio: I heard your name once before, Desmond, a long time ago. And now it lingers in my mind like an image from an old dream. I do not know where you are, or by what means you can hear me. But I know you are listening. [Ezio removes his hidden blade vambraces and unsheathes his sword, leaving them on the floor.]
I remember seeing a picture that showed how it worked. It noted that there's a ring that's attached to the little finger that's used to control it. I think that you can now buy real-life replicas of Altair's hidden blade. If it works, then that might explain how the game version works except that this one uses a button to shoot out the blade Ouj3.
